
Indigo8217;s new catering service ensures their fine food is available at home
There are very few restaurants that serve up a scrumptious feast better than Indigo, Colaba. And now with the launch of the Moveable Feast, their new catering service they hope to extend their expertise to our homes. From weddings, banquets to private parties and other smaller occasions, Indigo hopes to make your party a more memorable one. As Malini Akerkar, the joint owner says, 8220;We bring fine dining to your doorstep.8221;
Malini and her husband Rahul8217;s company, Degustibus Hospitality, that owns the highly successful Indigo and
Indigo Delicatessen in Colaba and the Indigo Cafeacute; in Andheri wanted to get started with catering for long. 8220;But we wanted to ensure we had the best location, facilities, staff, management, equipment, quality and variety on menu before we launched our catering service,8221; says Malini.
With Moveable Feast, they are looking to elevate the art of table service to a new level. 8220;We may not start a trend in the hospitality industry but we will certainly redefine the art of event catering with our bespoke service,8221; feels Rahul. Mansi Shah, a regular at Indigo says, 8220;I hosted my bachelorette party at Indigo last year. With the introduction of the new service, I have my work cut down for future parties.8221;
Moveable Feast, pioneered by Chef Parag Joglekar, has already begun taking orders from various quarters. The menu though will be completely different from their regular restaurant menu. 8220;Although we will retain the same quality and flair that has become a hallmark at
Indigo, the kitchens at Moveable Feast will offer a wide range of cuisine, ranging from Indian and pan-Asian to modern European and American. Our on-site bakery and patisserie will provide a wide selection of breads and desserts,8221; adds Rahul.
Indigo has also taken care to see that all food preparation, storage and transportation is all done under strict temperature regulations while they maintain a separate kitchen exclusively for the preparation of pure vegetarian cuisine. 8220;We have an 11,000 square foot central food production facility on Reay Road with a full range of state-of-the-art equipment,8221; says Rahul.
