RSS members to visit Command Hospital
Paying homage to the Kargil martyrs, the city unit of Rashtriya Suraksha Samiti today decided to visit Command Hospital on June 17. Samiti members also took a serious note of atrocities committed against our soldiers by the Pakistan army.

Prospectus for Plus One
The prospectus for the students seeking admission to Plus One classes in government schools in the city are available at all government model and non-model senior secondary schools. While the students opting for Science group will submit their forms in Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 23, those opting for Commerce and Humanities would submit their forms at GMSSS, Sector 22 and GMSSS, Sector 18, respectively.

Death anniversary observed
The Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Welfare Federation Punjab, Haryana and UT, observed the death anniversary of Yashwant Rai, former minister of Punjab and founder president of All India Safai Mazdoor Congress, at Valmiki Bhawan, Sector 24.

Annual function
The Association of Retired Officers of Indian Audit and Accounts department will hold annual function in AG Punjab building on June 27, at 4 p.m. Problems like extension of central government health scheme and increase of medical allowance will also be discussed.

Clarification
In a news item quot;ABVP men stage dharnaquot; carried in CN on June 13, it was mentioned that the dharna was staged outside the residence of an auxiliary nurse midwife ANM. The woman in fact is a Lady Health Visitor with a Sector 38 dispensary and not an ANM.
