Pakshi Mitra inauguratedKarad: State Revenue Minister Narayan Rane assured first all India bird-watchers' meet which began here today to allot a hundred acre land for a sanctuary.Speaking to the delegates after inaugurating the meet, Rane laid emphasis on conserving the bird life which he said plays a vital role in preserving the ecological balance. A threat posed for the bird could threat the existence of human race, he said. Earlier, outgoing president of the meet Madhav Gogate handed over the mace to Dr Milind Watwe.
