Chitrabhusan Puraskar for Talwalkar
Kolhapur: Renowned Marathi stage and film actor Sharad Talwalkar will be honoured with the prestigious Chitrabhushan Puraskar for his contributions to Marathi silver screen and theatre for over six decades.

State Cultural Minister Pramod Navalkar will present the award, instituted by Akhil Bharatiya Chitrapat Mahamandal, to Talwalkar in Pune on June 3, Mahamandal secretary Bhaskar Jadhav said on Friday.

The award carries Rs 36,000 in cash, a citation and a shawl, he said.

Among the earlier recipients of the award are renowned film maker Chitratapasvi Bhalji Pendharkar, melody queen Lata Mangeshkar, actors Vasant Shinde and Chandrakant Mandre.
