
Parents seek help from LG on fee hike
A four member delegation of Delhi Abhibhavak Mahasangh (DAM) met the Lt. Governor today regarding the non-implementation of the Delhi High Court’s directions to public schools here to refrain from hiking the academic fee any further. The delegation also apprised the LG of the fact that the process of refunding excess amount of fees by the schools had yet to be initiated. It also protested that the HC order to constitute the Justice Santosh Duggal committee had not been complied with.
Unnati awards
Vishal Saini and Bhavpritanand were among 11 students who were given the second Unnati awards at a function here today for their essays on Violence Women Face. The competition was organised by Unnati Features and the United Nations Development Fund for Women. Saini, a B.Ed. student from Dayalbagh Educational Institute, Agra, was adjudged best essayist in the general category and Bhavpritanand, who is doing a PG diploma course in journalism from DU, was the best in the journalism category.
