PU despatches roll numbers
Punjab University has despatched the roll numbers of all the eligible candidates who have applied for appearing in the UGC-NET examination to be held on June 27. If any candidate does not receive the roll number by June 15, he should contact the office of co-ordinator, UGC-NET, Department of Laws, PU.

Industrialists meet IGP
A three-member delegation of Federation of Small Scale Industries, led by Yash Pal Mahajan, today met the IGP to bring to his notice the law and order situation in the Industrial Area. The delegation demanded that both Phases I and II should be brought under a single SHO and DSP.

Teachers submit memorandum
A delegation of Government Teachers8217; Union met the Home-cum-Education Secretary N. K. Jain, to apprise him of the demands of the union. The delegation submitted a memorandum, stating various demands of teachers. The demands include revocation of suspension of teachers, review of transfers, admission and promotion policy.

KVIB strike on
The hunger strike by members of Khadi and Village Industries Board Employees Union entered the second day today. A rally was organised by the employees in front of the main office of the Board in Sector 22, where Rattan Lal, Naresh Kumar, Kishori Lal, Anil Kumar Mehta and Jasmer Singh sat on hunger strike.
