
B.Sc Part I re-evaluation result out
Panjab University has declared the re-evaluation result of the B.Sc I examinations held in October last year. The revaluation results of B.Com I and II supplementary examinations, held in the same month, will be declared on March 17, a press release issued by Ashok Raj Bhandari, joint controller of examinations, PU said.
Educating girl child project
In a bid to promote the education of girl child, the teachers of the Government High School, Sector 40 have started Challo Bete School project under which 49 girls from poor families would be admitted in the school. Headmaster of the school Bahadur Singh said,quot;The only responsibility of the parents is to send the kids to the school.quot;
Concern over teacher agitation
The Chandigarh Territorial Congress Committee has expressed concern over the on-going agitation of private-aided school teachers. Revised pay scales demanded
A delegation of the Private Colleges Non-Teaching Employees Union Punjab and Chandigarh met Principal Secretary Higher Education G.P.S. Sahi and Finance Secretary Rajan Kashyap to demand the implementation of revised pay scales for non-teaching employees in the non-government aided colleges of Punjab, a press release issued by the union president R.P. Sharma said.
