BUDAPEST, Oct 2 : The first national association of Hungarian prostitutes said on Monday it would change its name after angry protests from the Indian-Hungarian Friendship Society.

The name of the association, which was formed in Septemberand has received huge publicity in the local media, is Siva — identical with the name of one of the most worshipped gods of Hindu Indians.

"We have printed thousands of letterheads and health-carecards at the founders’ own cost … and now we have to throw them all away," Agnes Foldi, President of the group told Reuters.

The association said it would try to find a new name whichwould cause no affront.
