HUDA staff protest assault incident

The employees have demanded immediate arrest of the two persons involved in the incident and threatened not to return to work unless strict action is taken against the accused.

The employees are protesting that the matter was immediately reported to the concerned person but when no action was taken till morning, they went on strike. The striking employees also met SP Alok Mittal today who has issued directions to the Sector 7 police post incharge to register a case and arrest the accused.

They said that they were being harrased for the past few months by some employees on contract basis and last month the latter had entered the office and threatened an SDO. The police had even registered a case against them.

Death due to accident: Report
The suspected case of quot;murderquot; of Surjit Singh, a Bharat Electronics Ltd employee, took a new turn today following the post mortem report.

The report states that the death occurred due to brain hammorage and shock led to the death. The case was today investigated by crime and forensic experts. A BEL employee said that he had seen Surjit Singh, the victim at 10:10 p.m. on Wedenesday near the HUDA nursery. According to the STD bill recovered from the deceased, a call was made at 8:10 p.m. According to police sources, if it was a case of murder then there should have been blood stains near the body.
