After five days of hard cricket at Nagpur, India shared honours with England. Wasn8217;t this Indian team supposed to decimate the under-strength English team? So what went wrong? Here, we take a look at things that twisted the tale and could cause more implications in the ensuing series.

Team combination: India fielded just four specialist bowlers and it gave an added belief to the untested English batting that they have a chance to hang in there. England8217;s weak link was their batting and India failed to prick on the right nerve

Bowling resources: Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh looked woefully out of form. Surprisingly, Chappell decided against fielding in-form RP Singh, MoM in the last two Tests, and opted for Sreesanth for sake of variety

Batting shuffle: Most part of last day8217;s play was about snatching physiological advantage going into Mohali. India, desperate to regain lost ground, played by their strength 8212; batting flexibility. Dhoni, Pathan, Harbhajan come up and prey on tiring England bowlers. They destroyed their line and length, unnerved them with some big hitting and scared them while going for an unlikely win.

But why Harbhajan? Was it just a coincidence keeping Laxman way down the batting order while going for an improbable win or is it a signal to VVS?

Recovery time: By going bang, bang in the last session, England couldn8217;t afford to stay relaxed and Flintoff had to continue using his main bowlers. Given the hot conditions, India succeeded in draining every bit of England bowlers
