What8217;s it about?Chat shows and interviews are hugely famous on Indian television and they cater to a wide audience. So for a new chat show to click, there has to be a very special element in it. As the name of the show suggests, it gets up, close and personal with the rich and the famous from the entertainment and sports industries. From professional alliances to personal lives, this talk show has your favourite celebrities sharing some special secrets and rare anecdotes.

Who8217;s in it?The features editor of CNBC TV 18, Anuradha Sengupta, is the conventional host, asking questions, sharing anecdotes, keeping the viewers glued to the television set. Along with her warm appeal, she brings top-notch celebrities from various walks of life on the show. Beautiful Poeple promises to showcase some candid moments with superstars like Deepika Padukone, Lewis Hamilton, Aamir Khan and Farhan Akhtar.

What8217;s hot?The show, although restricted to just the host and the guest, keeps you engaged, mainly because of its outdoorsy settings. Most of the episodes are shot at Out of the Blue, a Mumbai restaurant, and for each interview the set is designed in a unique manner to go with the mood and the personality of the guest. Sengupta makes for a good host, asking the more controversial questions in the most subtle manner. Her in depth knowledge of the subject and the way she strikes a rapport with her guests instantaneously is remarkable. The show begins with the introduction of the guest through childhood photographs, glimpses of achievements and special moments in his/her life.

What8217;s not?The chat show sometimes reminds you of another popular talk show of yesteryear8212;Face to Face with Karan Thapar. The show like any other does get monotonous after a while, especially if the guest on a given day isn8217;t quite on your favourites list. Also, the fact that the guest and the anchor are made to sit diagonally doesn8217;t help the cameraman8217;s cause, who is mindlessly panning his camera from one end to the other.

Should you be watching it?For the Bollywood lover, this is the ideal show to meet your favourite guests and get to know them better. And those wanting to peek into the lives of other interesting personalities, could tune into it once in a while and try their luck.
