High-powered panel to probe 26/11 Mumbai strikes

Maharashtra govt announced the appointment of a two-member high level panel to probe the November 26 terror strikes in Mumbai.

Maharashtra Government on Tuesday announced the appointment of a two-member high level panel headed by former Nagaland Governor R D Pradhan to probe the November 26 terror strikes in Mumbai.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan on Tuesday made this announcement in the state Legislative Assembly in Nagpur.

Former IPS officer V Bhalchandra will be the other member of the panel, which has been asked to submit its report in two months.

Bhalchandra will enjoy the status of Minister of State.
