MUMBAI, May 10: Second favourite R Foley trained Hidden Meadow was ridden to a nicety from behind to annex The Hindu Nilgiris Derby Stakes Grade I, the chief event of the Udhagamandalam Racing Season today.

While stablemate Sovereign8217;s Touch, ridden by Sher Bahadur, tried to make it a start to finish affair, J Abraham brought Hidden Meadow to a striking distance at the final bend and emerged a clear winner about 100 metres from home.

Favourite Personal Pet A Merchant astride managed to secure the second place at the finish.

The day belonged to trainer Foley who saddled six winners and jockey Merchant rode four of them.
