For the 37 ATP doubles titles that Indian ace Mahesh Bhupathi boasts, this year has so far been rather average. More important than news of his victories have been news about his change of partners. So far he has tried out eight partners in his bid to end his title-drought on the men8217;s doubles circuit.

Scheduled to play in this week8217;s euro 646,250 Generali Open at Kitzbuhel, Austria, Bhupathi has once again decided to change partners. He will be teaming up with 35-year-old South African Chris Haggard. Bhupathi has, thus, taken on board his second Protean, after parting ways with Wesley Moodie.

While Moodie has by far been the Indian8217;s longest lasting partner six tournaments, Haggard in comparison has been quite successful. Boasting of a 21-17 W/L record this year, Haggard8217;s only title in 2006 at Memphis partnering Ivo Karlovic proved a success in his first attempt with Karlovic.

Memphis apart, Haggard has also reached two finals.

For the record Bhupathi, who has a 14-14 W/L record, has managed to reach just three semi-finals 8211; Monaco Radek Stepanek, Spain Leos Friedl and Poertschach in Austria Julian Knowles.

Unseeded for the Generali Open, the Bhupathi-Haggard pair will kick off its campaign in the tournament with a first round match against Philipp Kohlschreiber of Germany and the latter8217;s Austrian comrade-in-arms, Stefan Aut.

While, Bhupathi ranked 23 in the ATP Doubles Race will go in with his ninth partner for Haggard his Indian mate would be the 15th. Now, that8217;s some partnership, the only question is, will they click?
