With the remaining two phases of the Lok Sabha polls considered crucial, as many as 90,000 personnel of the Central Paramilitary Forces will be deployed to various states.
Additional forces have been sent to J-K for the May 5 and 10 polls. Over one-third of the 33,300 personnel will be deployed in Anantnag, as it has witnessed some violence. In UP alone, around 14,500 personnel of Central Forces will be deployed. Around 11,000 personnel will be deployed in Bihar. Forces will be sent to Haryana before May 10.
