Paris 1828. In the world of street jugglers and actors. Frederic Lemaitre, an actor and Baptiste, a mime noticed a pretty woman, Garance. Baptiste takes her to his hotel and finds her a job at `Aux Funambules’, a theatre company. Nathalie, the daughter of the owner who is in love with Baptiste, is jealous. Finally after having a brief relationship with Frederic, Garance goes with Le Comte de Montray.

National Film Archive of India: Irma La Douce (USA/ 1963/ Colour/ 147 min). Directed by Billy Wilder, the cast includes Jack Lemmon, Shirley MacLaine, Lou Jacobi, Bruce Yarnell, Herschel Bernardi and Hope Holiday.
Naive cop (Jack Lemmon) falls for Parisian streetwalker (Shirley MacLaine) and impersonates an English Lord in order to keep Irma to himself. "This is a story of passion, bloodshed, desire and death," says the narrator, adding laconically, "Everything in fact, that makes life worth living."
Elaborating further on Wilder’s continuing fascination with collisions between innocence and experience, the film has an abundance and vitality that spills over from its performances, colour, music and design. The set was constructed in a 360 degree fashion so shooting could be done in any direction. MacLaine won the Golden Globe award and Andre Previn won an Oscar for music.

The story is about the ultimate energy force from which we are created, known as our "roots" – Isha and its journey in mankind, on Earth, its `vastavya’ – Vasya. Thus Isha Vasya. Isha Vasya is based on the characteristics of the five elements of the Earth (Panch Mahabhootha) and how they play a foundation role in the general behaviour/actions of the Indian.
