Mannekin,the swanky new bar at Kasbah in Greater Kailash I,screams with its fiberglass dancers wrapped around poles,a collage inspired by the Sixties music on a curved wall and a boudoir-red bar strewn with semi-precious stones.
While the 80-seater bar doubles as a restaurant,we prefer the watering spot with its Rs 300 cocktails the masala margaritas and watermelon mojitos. The almond margarita Rs 300,a delectably semisweet concoction with almond paste,tequila and a dash of lime,is for the adventurous. There are unusual ones like Al Rancho that blends whisky and beer with a touch of ginger ale. If cucumber and celery martinis sound like out-of-place health drinks,go for a blackberry martini,shaken and stirred. And if you are of those who prefer a creamy sweet after-dinner drink,how about banana and coffee martini on a bed of ice? The others,stick to your cosmopolitans and highballs.
