Gurdaspur ‘won’, he is back to Bollywood

Khanna gives himself full marks for his work in Gurdaspur. He claims that he has not only managed to get development work done there by getting, for instance, clean water for the people and reviving a mill, he has alsocharmed his opponents. “If you go there, you will not find anybody saying anything against me, not even the other parties.”

Did the big money and high-life in showbiz add to the lure? “If I could quit films for nine years when I was in the peak of my career and live in an ashram, why can I not do it now? I could support myself for life”.

So what can we expect to see? “Not running around trees, of course,”he said saying that the roles would suit his age. “They are major roles, though, otherwise I wouldn’t do them.”

But he said that there wasn’t really any actress on the current scene who he was really keen to act opposite-“Meryl Streep, maybe.” However, his action hero role is maintained as he still plans to play a cop in the film. Any love interest? “Only between husband and wife”.
