Rally on World Environment Day
To commemorate World Environment Day, The Indian Express in collaboration with the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation will organise a rally in the city on June 5 involving young members of various organisations and associations.

The rally will be divided into the cycling, skating, walking and VIP and corporate groups each moving from the Sussen/GIDC Road, Polo Club, Dairy Den and Hotel Welcomgroup respectively between 6.45 am to 7.45 am. It will culminate at the Sardarbaug Garden, Wadi Wadi. The Indian Express seeks public participation to help it take ecological issues to the forefront of the public agenda. B Sc forms
The admission forms for F Y B Sc will be available from June 9 to June 17 at Faculty of Science office. The admission procedure will start from June 22. The applicants will have to fill their forms and fees on the prescribed time and day of admission.

Unit synchronised
The 60 MW unit number four of the Kadana Hydro Electric Project was fully synchronised on Wednesday, according to the Gujarat Electricity Board GEB sources. The unit could not be operated for commercial production during the last two-and-a-half years due to leakage of water and oil. Later, bearings failed, sources said, adding that the unit was synchronised with the help of the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited BHEL.

Power theft
The Gujarat Electricity Board GEB detected power theft to the tune of Rs 21,58,962 in raids conducted in 18 cities of the State on Wednesday. Out of the 5,279 connections checked, irregularities were detected in 100 cases.

6-month course
A six-month certificate course in food and beverages will be conducted by the Centre for Continuing Adult Education from June 29. The course is in collaboration with the South Asia Tourism Secretariate SATS. Interested applicants should collect and deposit the form before June 1.
