Kasaragod Superintendent of Police P Shantaram told The Indian Express that the police department had not received any intimation about the yaga. Entry to the yaga site is also restricted. Sources said the yaga which commenced on February 20 will go on for one more week.
It is expected to cost around Rs 55 lakh.
Astrologer Deva Pujittaya is supervising the yaga. On the final day, about 300 priests will participate and there will be mass feeding. Gowda is expected to visit Arikadi later in the week. The former Prime Minister and his family members are staunch devotees of Durga Parmeshwari of Arikadi.
