Buckingham Palace yesterday would not rule out that other members of the Royal family could go to France when the two British football teams who qualified for the World Cup, England and Scotland, face off against other squads.

According to tabloid press reports, Prince William, 15, son of the late Diana, Princess of Wales and Prince Charles, would love to go to France.

SYDNEY: THE Australian Hockey Association AHA today decided to bear half the local hospitality costs for the Indian team in the four-nation Colorado Cup being played here and in Melbourne.

The AHA executive director Landen Adamson said that the decision was taken to 8220;protect the goodwill that exists8221; between the Australian and Indian Hockey Federations.

On arrival here on Tuesday, the Indian team was told that the hospitalityextended to them was confined to only breakfast and they would have to pay for the rest of their meals.

It was a 8220;misunderstanding that arose due to a communication gap,8221; Adamson said today.

Rios sidelined

SANTIAGO: Chile8217;s world No 1 Marcelo Rios has decided not to travel to Barcelona for the Cone de Godo tennis tournament due to an elbow injury he suffered in a weekend Davis Cup match.

Rios halted a Wednesday practice session after just 10 minutes because the elbow was still bothering him.

Rios sustained the injury playing for Chile against Argentina in a first-round Davis Cup match last weekend. It forced him to pull out of a key singles match in Buenos Aires and Argentina went on to defeat Chile 4-1.
