She8217;s been in the business of acting a long time now 8212; since the age of four to be precise 8212; and has become quite a stalwart with her experience in films, on stage and on television. Recently, Pallavi Joshi has gone a step further and donned a new avataar: that of producer. Her company, Atharvaa Communications, was launched way back in 1992 with the tele-serial Arohan, which dealt with the armed forces. Following several re-runs on Doordarshan, the serial is scheduled to be aired again soon. Today, she doubles up as producer and actress for most of the TV shows directed by her husband Vivek Agnihotri for their company.

Currently, Pallavi says she is enjoying her favourite role, that of mother to her first-born, a seven-month old baby. Other than that, production, she says, is what gives her pleasure right now. quot;Acting is in my blood because I started it very early in my life. But now that I8217;ve turned producer, I feel I8217;m really working hard. It is a demanding job. It requires so much from you8230;quot; she explains. Thankfully, she adds that she will always act. quot; But there is a great satisfaction in putting things together, quot; she says.

Outside of her own company, Pallavi says she has just wrapped work on Alpaviram, and is working on another show Masoom with the same team. There8217;s also a Marathi musical programme Tara for the Star Marathi channel, for which she has already shot an entire schedule.

Kudos to this lady who takes her place in this industry with quiet dignity, preferring to let her work speak for her, and ignoring such professional hazards as producers who cheat her off her dues!
