PUNE, Sept 30: Additional city engineer of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Ramesh Ghodke retired on Wednesday. He had joined the PMC as junior engineer on April 7, 1966. He was promoted as deputy city engineer (water supply) in 1989. In 1995, he was appointed as development engineer (roads) and later as additional city engineer in 1996, an official statement said today.

Ghodke has been instrumental in completing various works including the Rs 4 crore water supply scheme to Bibvewadi, Dhankawadi and Katraj and the renovation of the Balgandharva Rangmandir during his tenure. The civic general body felicitated Ghodke.
