German rape victim146;s mother to withdraw the rape case

A German woman, who accused Goa Education Minister Antanasio Monserratte8217;s son Rohit of raping her teenaged daughter, said she wanted to withdraw her complaint expressing 8216;frustration8217; over the manner the probe is moving, her lawyer said.

8220;She has written to Calangute police station expressing the frustration over the way investigation is proceeding. She has said that she intends to withdraw her complaint,8221; German mother8217;s lawyer Aires Rodrigues said.

The complaint against 21-year-old Rohit was filed on October 2 and subsequently the First Information Report FIR was lodged on October 14.

Police booked Rohit on the charge of raping, outraging modesty, abetting crime and sending lewd messages to the 14-year-old German girl.
