PUNE, March 22: It was the day of the younger generation at the awards function of The Indian Express-VCCCI vintage car rally, which was held at Hotel Blue Diamond8217;s Garden Court today. The significance of the gesture of the proud owners in sending their younger wards to receive the silver trophies from KK Kashyap, Commissioner of Police, was lost on none. And the willingness of today8217;s children and youth to take on the mantle of preserving these chrome and metal pieces of history warmed the hearts of many.

A special trophy was presented to the traffic police for ensuring that the cars and the motorcycles had a smooth run on the roads. The trophy was received by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic.
