NEW DELHI, January 6: With the arrest of seven men, the southwest district police have claimed to solve a sensational robbery case. On the night of December 22 four vehicles (three Maruti Esteems and one Maruti Zen) were stolen from Gautam Motors, on the main road leading to Najafgarh in the jurisdiction of the Kapashera police station.
All the seven are in their 20s. Their gang leader, Radhey Shyam, is a trained draftsman and was earning a salary of about Rs 10,000 before he took to a life of crime. The others were employed as mechanics and security guards. They have been identified as Anand, Laxman, Sukh Ram, Gurcharan, Nepal, Sanjay and Brijesh. In the last two weeks of December, seven major robberies were reported in Najafgarh, Kapashera and Vasant Kunj.
