Gandhian threatens stir

MUMBAI, JUNE 26: Noted Gandhian, Dr Usha Mehta has said the countrywide satyagraha against the government8217;s notification on compulsory consumption of salt would be intensified if it was not withdrawn immediately.

Speaking at a meeting on the issue at Mani Bhawan on Thursday, Mehta said freedom fighters were 8220;terribly dismayed by this development notification which brought back memories of the days of Dandi march organised by Mahatma Gandhi in 1930.8221;
