
NEW DELHI, March 7: A galaxy of stars, including Karnataka opening batsman Arun Kumar and medium pacer Dodda Ganesh, Punjab8217;s Vikram Rathore, Pankaj Dharmani, Rajasthan8217;s Aashish Kapoor and Delhi8217;s Ajay Sharma, are expected to be seen in action in the Roshanara Pepsi Cup to be held at the picturesque Roshanara Club ground here from March 14 to 28.
Eight teams, including last year8217;s winners Collage Group and runners-up Roshanara Club, have been drawn in two pools. The top two teams from each pool will qualify for the semi-finals. Sanjay Anand, chairman cricket of the club, and Ravinder Kapoor, chairman of the tournament, told newspersons here that the winners would receive Rs 31,000 while runners-up will be richer by Rs 15,000. Besides, there will be man of the match8217; awards after each game. Sportmark will give sportskits to all participants. Matches in round-robin league will be of 45 overs duration while the semi-finals and finals will be of 50 overs.
Collage will take on Malviya in the inaugural match on March 14.
Sanjay Anand also informed that the club plans to conduct a cricket tournament for under-13 boys during this summer to 8220;promote the game8221;.
Roshanara Club, founded in 1922, has a historic cricket background. It was the place where the Board of Control for Cricket in India BCCI was formed. Recently, the club has added a couple of new buildings to the already existing playing facilities.

Pool B: Roshanara Club, D S Group, Chand Khanna, Indian Airlines.
