Notwithstanding President Pervez Musharraf8217;s remarks on the peace process with India, Pakistan has said it would participate in the dialogue with full sincerity and try its best to make it successful.

8216;8216;There is no question mark over the dialogue on Kashmir and Pakistan would participate in the process with full sincerity and try its best to make it successful,8217;8217; Foreign Office Spokesman Masood Khan told a local TV channel last night.

8216;8216;The real challenge is to make Indo-Pak dialogue result-oriented and purposeful and General Musharraf had stressed this aspect in an interactive programme on PTV on March 30,8217;8217; he said, adding that confidence building measures were moving ahead, but the composite dialogue should be result-oriented.

Musharraf, in the programme had said that if there was no forward movement in the dialogue on Kashmir by July-August, 8216;8216;I am not in the process8217;8217;. The spokesman welcomed the statement of Deputy Prime Minister L.K. Advani that Indo-Pak problems including the Kashmir issue could be resolved through talks.

8216;8216;This is a good, positive statement8230; Such statements are welcome and endorse Pakistan8217;s stance8217;8217;, Khan said. About Advani8217;s remarks that both countries should pursue the direction of the dialogue process decided by their foreign secretaries, Khan said: 8216;8216;Pakistan endorses this position and is fully prepared to take the dialogue process forward.8217;8217;
