
New Delhi, April 30: As many as 42 Indian scholars and professionals from various fields have been selected for the prestigious Fulbright Exchange Grant for the 1999-2000 academic year, the United States education foundation in India USEFI announced here today.
During their stay in the United States, the scholars would be affiliated to various universities and institutes of higher learning for completing their respective research, teaching and training in diverse fields.
The subjects include American studies, business administration, intellectual property rights, information science, museum studies, puppetry, arts and culture management, communication technology, public health and drug abuse.
A US Information Service release said 39 American scholars and professionals would visit India as part of the Indo-US exchange programme.
