NEW DELHI, July 12: The newly-appointed Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) chief Salman Khursheed plans to de-centralise the state unit of the party and give full powers to his deputies in a bid to provide the much-needed boost to the party in the state.``I am all for de-centralisation. I believe, I was chosen UPCC chief being the first among equals. I would like all my vice-presidents and general secretaries to be free to give suggestions and take steps to revamp the party in the state,'' said Khursheed, when asked about his plans to revamp the party following its debacle in the recent Lok Sabha elections. He said that his main focus will not be on caste, communal and sectarian issues that have become the mainstay of the state's politics. On other issues like the Ayodhya dispute, reservation, policy toward minorities, dalits, etc he said that he would come back with suggestions to the party's Central Working Committee.
