MUMBAI, FEB 26: Franco D’Mello enabled St Stanislaus A, Bandra, beat Hansraj Morarji 34-11 and make the final of the boys’ under-13 MSSA-Castrol Inter-School basketball tournament at the Schools Sports Centre, Azad Maidan, today.

Franco was the day’s top marksman with a tally of 14 points.

Kristine Vaz (10) also caught the eye as St Anne’s (Fort) beat Mary Immaculate B (Borivli) 30-12 in the girls’ category. She was ably assisted by Evellyn Goes (7) and Anita Ramrakhyani (7).

Aakansha B (8) was the star performer for Mary Immaculate A (Borivli) who scored a 19-13 win over Convent of Jesus & Mary (Fort) in the other girls’ semi-final. Karen Rebello (8) and Shreya Mitra (5) shone for the losers.

Mary Immaculate A 19 (Aakansha B 8, Raksha Shetty 4) bt Convent of Jesus & Mary, Fort 13(Karen Rebello 8, Shreya Mitra 5) HT: 10-5.

Mini boys: Don Bosco, Matunga 18 (Santanu Suresh 5, Suddarshan Pisupati 4) bt Good Counsel A 15 (Melvin Louis 10, Irfan Khan 5) HT: 12-7.
