The Mohali Police landed in trouble by putting up a hyperlink on its official website, asking for people8217;s opinion on who would emerge the winner in Punjab. The Shiromani Akali Dal noticed, and wrote to the Election Commissioner on the police 8220;misusing8221; the website. The next day, the link was removed. In a statement issued on Friday, Mohali SSP Gurinder Singh Dhillon expressed regret, saying the opinion poll was not limited to political issues. The web hosting company had posted the 8220;wrong question8217;8217;, he said.

Rains halt Uttarakhand campaign

Dehra Dun: Widespread rains across Uttarakhand brought campaign to a standstill on Saturday.
