SHEIKHPURA, Aug 18: Five persons were killed and a policeman was injured in an encounter between the police and a group of armed persons near Sahara village in Sheikhpura district on Wednesday.
Talking to newsmen here, District Magistrate Brij Bihariprasad claimed that the deceased were members of an inter-state criminal gang and had come to the village to forcibly collect money from the local people.
