First win for Karnataka

PATNA, April 14: Karnataka registered their first win defeating Kerala 3-1 in the second Super League Men8217;s Volleyball Championship at the Gandhi Maidan here. In an excellent display after losing three of the four matches they played so far, Karnataka put up a brave show with good blocking coupled with perfectness in smash and placing.

They won the first, third and fourth games 15-13, 15-13 and 15-8 while losing the second 9-15.

Earlier, holders Punjab suffered their first defeat in the hands of Kerala 10-15, 15-13, 9-15, 15-13, and 15-12 late last night after winning three matches in a row.
