
PATIALA, JUNE 14: A total of 15 cases, out of 22 complaints brought before the district administration during the Sangat Darshan programme here today.Assistant Deputy Commissioner ADC R.S. Randhawa presided over the Sangat Darshan in the absence of Deputy Commissioner Jasbir Singh Bir.
Randhawa instructed the officials of the concerned government departments to take care of unsolved cases as early as possible so that the people will get justice.
The village panchayats of Malkan Rurki, Devinagar, Harigarh, Prempura and Bhagwanpura Jattan of Bhunerheri block demanded digging of a drain to carry the rain water out.
These panchayats also demanded that the proposed drain be connected to river Tangri so that the crops will be saved during the rainy season.
The ADC instructed the executive engineer of Drainage Department to do the needful to provide relief to the people of this particular area.
Darbara Singh of Bahadurgarh village demanded immediate removal of encroachment from the shamlat land. The village panchayat of Mashigan Bhunerheri block also demanded the same and also demanded the demarcation of the land as early as possible. The ADC passed on the instructions to the district development and panchayat officers DDPO to take immediate steps in this direction to provide relief to the people of both the villages.
