Fiery foes share common platform

Education minister More had contested a bitter Lok Sabha election against Nationalist Congress Party NCP leader Sharad Pawar as the former had virtually launched a tirade against the Maratha strongman. The NCP was apparently in the revengeful mood in the post-election scenario as it raised the issue of 8220;jumbo-sized ministry8221;, and made a strong demand for pruning the ministry with the exclusion of some ministers including More. The issue of exclusion of ministers had raised much dust and apprehensions were even raised about the Democratic Front government coming down.

All that was history today for both More and Pawar, as they praised each other8217;s work and announced that people would always see them together. But political workers were a confused lot as many of them hoped that either More or Pawar would purposely skip the function.

After the division of the Congress in April this year and before the elections, most party workers had a tough time to take a decision whether to support More or Pawar.

More in his speech, said, 8220;I understand that many of those present here are not happy with we two coming together. But the division between us apparently helps some other people. Therefore we have decided to leave all our differences aside8221;.
