The Netaji Indoor Stadium courts will play a little faster this year for the second edition of the Sunfeast Open from September 18. That is because the organisers are planning to apply a coat of plexi-pave on the Greenset chipboards.

The Netaji Indoor Stadium courts will play a little faster this year for the second edition of the Sunfeast Open from September 18. That is because the organisers are planning to apply a coat of plexi-pave on the Greenset chipboards. And the balls in play this time will be lighter than last year.

A Globosport official said: 8220;We will be using Wilson8217;s US Open balls, which are faster than the ones used last year.8221;

Tournament Director Jaidip Mukherjea said: 8220;The paint on the plywood makes the courts faster.8221; Plexi-pave is the surface on which all the hard court Super Nine meets are played. Globosport has imported five courts for the Mumbai meet too.
