CHANDIGARH, Nov 29: Skaters from Faridabad stole the limelight by bagging six gold medals including one in the roller hockey event in the senior boys group in the 12th Haryana State roller skating championship which concluded at Sector 10 Skating Rink here today.

Faridabad boys claimed three gold medals out of four at stake in the road race II, held in the morning session at the Lake Club.

In the girls category, they pocketed two out of five god on stake while Panipat, Karnal and Panchkula accounted for the other three gold medals.

In roller hockey final, Panchkula boys were unable to withstand the onslaught of Faridabad lads, who were up by 4-1 at the break. On resumption, the Faridabad boys added seven more goals to their tally while Panchkula could score only one 11-2.

Raminder Pal top scored with five goals for Faridabad. Anandesh and Depesh also got two goals each for the winners.

For Panchkula Chander and Vishal scored one each.

Girls: Below 6 yrs: 1 Palavi Faridabad, 2 Poonam Saini Karnal, 3 Neha Singh Panchkula. 6 to 9 yrs: 1 Akshi Bhargava Panipat, 2 Neha Narwal Karnal, 3 Krishma Ahjua Panchkula. 9 to 12 yrs: 1 Reema Bhandari Karnal, 2 Geetanjali Karnal, 3 Geetika Anand Panchkula. 12 to 16 yrs: 1 Neha Faridabad, 2 Sonia Sirsa, 3 Priyanka Sharma Panchkula. Above 16 yrs: 1 Indu Madan Panchkula, 2 Kabambari Karnal, 3 Ritu Sirsa.

Bhatia, Budhar electedD V Bhatia and SS Budhwar were unanimously re-elected president and secretary, respectively, of the Chandigarh Gymnastic Association for a term of four-years in the annual general body meeting of the association held here today.

Inderjit Singh was appointed chairman of the technical committee. The other office-bearers are: Vice-presidents: Comdt B K Uperti, R K Talwar, Wg Comdr Satish Bhatida, Satish Gandhi; joint secretaries: R S Duggal and Ravinder Sharma.

Exceutive Committee: J P Sharma, Jagtar Singh, Rajeev Nandra, Sangram Singh, RP Singla and Vinod Kalia.

Inderpal Singh attended the meeting as observer of the Chandigarh Sports Council.
