MOGA, Feb 19: Thousands of devotees thronged Siddh Baba Balak Nath temple on Akalsar road and the temple on Dutt Road since early morning today to witness holy figures appear on the shivalingas.

Jagdish Sharma, priest of the Siddh Baba Balak Nath temple, informed newspersons this afternoon that last night holy figures relating to Lord Shiva, including sheshnag, third eye of Lord Shiva and his footsteps, started appearing on the shivalinga.

A priest of another temple, when contacted, said that such figures were appearing in his temple also.

Kurukshetra: As the word about the shivalingas becoming red spread yesterday night, thousands of devotees headed towards the famous Sthaneshwar temple, Dukhbhanjan Shiva temple, Mahadev temple and other places of worship in this holy city.

Long queues were witnessed in front of a small temple in Mahadev mohalla, which is believed to have kicked off the entire episode. The euphoria continued today as the devotees engaged themselves in lengthy discussions about the amazing phenomenon. No one could, however, offer any plausible explanation for this.

Describing it as a well planned and calculated move to mislead the people, chairperson, Physics Department of the Kurukshetra University, N.D. Sharma, stated that a change in the colour of the lingas could only be possible through the application of some chemical on the shivalingas.
