Samuel Eto’O scored two goals against his former club as FC Barcelona beat Mallorca 3-1 in the Spanish league to remain at the top of the standings alongside defending champion Valencia.

The Cameroon striker netted from the penalty spot in the 38th minute for Barcelona’s first goal and then added a second two minutes later when he pounced on a perfect cross from Henrik Larsson, chipped over the advancing goalkeeper and slotted home. Swedish striker Larsson also scored for the Catalan powerhouse. (AP)
