Entertainment to grow 100 times: Ambani

The Indian entertainment industry has the potential to grow by over 100 times to $200 bn in the next 20 years, facilitated by the advent of broadband and digital age, Reliance Industries Ltd chairman and managing director Mukesh Ambani said here today. “Broadband will be the wealth creator of this decade and will become the synonym for opportunity, even as it would be a revolutionary and not evolutionary concept,” Ambani said in his valedictory address at the ficci Frames 2004 Convention.

The digital age presented India with a “wonderful opportunity to regain her past glory in the field of entertainment and offers a chance to create wealth on a huge scale,” he said.
