Encroachments removed in Sector 27

CHANDIGARH, May 13: The enforcement staff of the Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh today, once again, removed hedges, railings and boundary walls extending to the pavements of Sector 27-A.

The operation started at 3.30 p.m. and lasted for two hours during which 40 encroachments were removed without any resistance from the residents. These encroachments, the enforcement officials said, were removed for the recarpeting of roads to be done by the end of this month.
