Only 144 fans from Pakistan will cross the border to witness the India-Pakistan day and night match to be played at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium (PCA) on Thursday. IS Bindra, PCA president, said: “We were expecting 250 Pakistani fans but Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) told us on Monday that the Indian Embassy has granted visas to only 144 people as only they had hotel booking confirmations in the city,” said Bindra. He added that all visitors would be arriving via air and no one will come through the Wagah border or travel by road to Mohali. He added that the emergency will not affect the number of people expected to come.
