Election Commission has proposed disciplinary action against Chhattisgarh Chief Electoral Officer Ajay Singh.

The EC has slapped a showcause notice on Singh, who was ousted from the post last week. He has been given two weeks8217; time to file replies on printing of voters8217; list and delay in providing copies to political parties.

Meanwhile, the EC today chose K.K. Chakravarti as the new CEO.
