
CHANDIGARH, Jan 17: Piccadily XI beat Indian Express XI by ten wickets in the Bharat Petroleum Challenge exhibition cricket match here at the DAV College ground today.
Led by the former Test player Yograj Singh, Piccadily XI restricted their opponents to a modest 133 for 8 in the allotted 25 overs.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Ajay Sharda top scored with an undefeated half century 51 while Narinder Kwatra got 25 runs but the rest failed miserably. Venod Sharma scalped 2 for 30.
The Piccadily XI openers Yuvraj Singh and Dinesh Mongia breezed past the target with ease. Yuvraj hammered 65 n.o. and Dinesh scored 55 n.o., as the Express XI bowlers, save for off spinner Sanjay Dhull, failed to make any impact.
Meanwhile Venod Sharma, announced the taking up of some City cricketers on stipend with the Piccadily Club. He also said that Yograj would look after the cricketers8217; needs and their endeavour would be to give them maximum opportunity to showcase their talent.

Haneetinder Singh Jakhar of Patiala was the cynosure of all eyes in the 34th Punjab State shooting championship which concluded at Ranjitgarh Rifle Club, Phillaur. The young marksman got the best shooters award in the men8217;s category.
