NEW DELHI, FEBRUARY 9: The board of Indian Shaving Products Limited (ISPL) on Wednesday approved a merger of Duracell (India) Ltd and Wilkinson Sword India Ltd (WSIL) with the company.

Indian Shaving Products, a subsidiary of Gillette Company of the United States, said on Wednesday that its post-tax profit in 1999 was Rs 19.5 crore. The company, which switched to a financial year coinciding with the calendar year in 1999, said its sales rose 25 percent and post-tax profit 10 percent when compared with an annualised figure for the April-December period of 1998.
