
NEW DELHI, June 14: The Delhi University has signed Memorandums of Understanding MoUs with the Defence Research and Development Organisation DRDO and Council for Scientific and Industrial Research CSIR to train a new generation of scientists in biomedical sciences.
Under the MoUs, which is a first for Delhi University, joint academic and research activities will be conducted by the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences INMAS of DRDO and Delhi University8217;s Dr Ambedkar Centre for Biomedical Research ACBR. The Centre for Biomedical Technology CBT of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research and the Dr Ambedkar Centre for Biomedical Research will have a joint programme for mission oriented, academic, basic and applied research activities.
ACBR faculty and students will have access to the highly sophisticated and precise instruments available at the two premier national laboratories, INMAS and CBT.
