Drunk driver killed as car hits road divider

New Delhi, March 1: At around 9 tonight, a speeding Toyota hit a road divider at the Prithviraj Road-Janpath intersection, killing the driver. The police say he was drunk and was driving at about 100 kmph.

The driver has been identified as K.C.Joshi, 25. His car overturned several times after hitting the road divider and came to a stop, the police said. Joshi, who was taken by the PCR van to Safdarjung Hospital, died within half an hour of head injuries. He was identified from his driving licence which carried his address as 329, C-Block, Dakshinpuri.
