PUNE, July 27: Bhushan8217;s family is waiting for his call from Sweden so that they can congratulate him on his debut call for the Dawei World Table Tennis championship.

No one deserves it more. The player from Railways picked up the sport from his father 8212; Nihar Singh Thakur 8212; a national coach. However, after his father8217;s death, lack of funds and a coach put brakes on his practise.

Today, playing without a coach for almost a decade now, Bhushan has to his credit two consecutive Junior National titles, and has represented India at Beijing, Dubai and China.
